- Mighty Mite - 1st & 2nd Graders
- Junior Pee Wee - 3rd & 4th Graders
- Pee Wee - 5th & 6th Graders
- Junior - 7th & 8th Graders
The ACYFL subscribes to one very important fundamental belief:
All children should be allowed to play the great
game of football with other children of like age and maturity.
We have thrown out the antiquated complex age weight matrixes that the
national organizations still hold on to and replaced it with a safer program
that groups kids into divisions based on their school grade. Never
will you see a 6th grader play against a 3rd grader in the ACYFL.
The ACYFL makes no exceptions to these divisions. Players are NEVER
allowed to move up and they are NEVER allowed to move down a division.
Cheerleaders on the other hand may cheer for any division they desire.
Cheerleaders for example can choose to cheer with their friends or they can
choose to cheer for their sibling's football team regardless of age
separation. Cheerleaders must be in Kindergarten through 8th grade at
the start of the season.
